About the event

The 27th Annual Pennsylvania Drum Show is happening again this Fall! Founded in
1995 by Jack Lawton (Lawton Drum Company), this is the 2nd longest running drum show in
the country! Last year, with Jack’s blessing and support, Drums Etc (The Drummer’s Pro
Shop) took on the responsibility of organizing the event and moved it to the Lancaster/Lititz
area.

This year’s show is located at the venue Mickey’s Black Box on the ROCK LITITZ
campus where the world’s biggest artists construct their stages/lighting/sound
reinforcement before going on tour. This show will feature vendors from all over the East
coast displaying collections, introducing inventions, and selling drums and drum related
accessories. These shows attract drum enthusiasts and feature an assortment of rare vintage
pieces. In addition, Drums Etc has recruited many “big-name” drum and cymbal
manufacturers to attend the show to display the latest gear and offer support and guidance
to attendees!

Drummers are also encouraged to bring their own equipment to sell in the
consignment section! Each item must have an official drum show Tag for entry.
Consignment Tags will be for sale at the event as follows: ($5 per snare/cymbal etc) and
($20 per drum set). There is a 5-Tag limit for attendees. Anyone with more items has the
option of purchasing a vendor booth! Please contact [email protected] ASAP for booth
inquiries and questions. Booth Spaces Sell Out Every Year.

Buying & Selling are only the tip of the iceberg at the PA Drum Show! There are
entertainment and educational events happening throughout the day; All included with
entry! From 1-4PM Drum Key Podcast will be conducting interviews with professional
drummers in the event space on the 2nd floor. Host Cory Rosen (The Story Podcast) will
guide conversations with experienced performers and recording artists (Q&A participation
encouraged). At 2PM The Love Drums (west African style hand drumming group) will be
performing out front. At 3PM the year’s largest drum circle event will be held in the same
space! Although Drums Etc sponsors the circle and provides drums and limited seating, it is
encouraged that you bring your own drum and chair for the event! At 5PM Ed Toth (The
Doobie Brothers, Vertical Horizon) will be hosting the grand finale: An Epic Drum Clinic on
the 2nd Floor! You don’t want to miss it! Don’t worry, you’ll still have an hour after the
performance to meet Ed and do some last-minute shopping!

Did we mention the Raffle? Every attendee gets a FREE ticket and a chance to win
prizes including a Drum Set, Cymbals, Snare Drums and More! Specific prize details and a
list of raffle sponsors will be released before the event. Winners of the raffle prizes will be
announced immediately following the drum clinic (~6PM).

This is a road-trip-worthy event that lasts all day! What about food? For those who
hang out all day, Mickey’s Black Box has you covered! The bar and concession stand will be
offering an assortment of your favorite drinks and meals for purchase from Noon-6PM. In
addition, there will be sweet treats for sale out front courtesy of Blue Stone Bakery.

Okay, so which ticket is right for you? First, the VIP Early Access ticket gets you first
crack at all the amazing gear before the masses arrive. This ticket grants you 1 hour of extra
time (Noon-1PM) to walk the show floor, find the rarest items, and make purchases. VIP
tickets are limited to only 100 attendees. This is perfect for serious collectors and/or folks
looking for a less crowded experience. Second, the General Admission ticket provides you
with the classic drum show experience! All special events, clinics and performances take
place within the 1-7PM times, so you won’t miss out on any of the fun!
