Masterclass | Hands: Workouts & Exercises For Advancing Drummers w/Gabe Staznik

Join us for an unforgettable Masterclass at Drums Etc! Every month, we are hosting a different expert to share their expertise during hands-on educational workshops! This is one of many new ventures for Drums Etc in 2024. Each masterclass will be an intimate, ticketed event where you can ask questions, participate in demos, and get specialized advice and guidance!

Gabe Staznik leads this hands-on masterclass about drummers working on their “Hands”! Developing even, consistent strokes while drumming is a continuous pursuit for most drummers. Gabe will lead this course by providing warm ups, exercises and techniques to develop your hand speed, endurance and consistency. This masterclass encourages participation, although it is not required. Drums Etc will be providing practice pads, thrones, and stands, but you are welcome to bring your own gear! This Masterclass is designed for drummers with the desire to improve their playing. There is no minimum amount of experience required, but basic rudimental knowledge will be called upon during exercises. This is a fantastic opportunity to pick up tips and techniques to use for years to come!

Presenter Background:

Gabriel Staznik is a versatile percussionist residing in the Washington, D.C. area. He has performed and recorded with Grammy, Emmy, and Tony award-winning artists and is currently the drummer in Max Impact, the premier rock band of the United States Air Force, where he is also the non-commissioned officer in charge of Max Impact.

He has toured with Chubby Checker and was the percussionist in over a thousand shows at the prestigious American Music Theatre (Lancaster, PA).
