Rick began playing drums at a young age. Throughout his school years he participated in several music programs including band, orchestra, chorus, and stage band.

Rick specializes in teaching beginner to intermediate levels on the drum kit. He encourages students to play the drums musically by teaching them to listen to music very carefully while allowing them to bring their own personality or voices to the drums in order to develop their own styles.

Rick plays for the LCBC worship band regularly and has played in a variety of bands of different genre’s over the years. He is known for being the drummer of the classic rock band “Memory Lapse”  and also occasionally plays guitar and sings in an acoustic duo.
